Purpose

The West Virginia Center for Nursing offers scholarships for LPN, RN, LPN, teaching certificate, masters, and doctoral nursing students who agree to complete a service obligation in West Virginia.

West Virginia has widespread nursing shortages both in rural and more populated areas. While not required under the service obligation requirements, many scholarship recipients choose to work in rural and underserved areas of the state.
