• Program Overview: Montana's Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) uses the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations for HIV prevention with adults and adolescents to guide their prevention efforts providing behavioral risk counseling services, retreats for HIV-positive men, and MpowerMT groups. DPHHS uses social marketing to promote HIV screening around the state through the Get Tested Montana Initiative. The agency also funds organizations that conduct testing, outreach, and prevention activities across the state.
