Outreach and Engagement

Rural services integration programs are implementing marketing campaigns to conduct outreach and education to inform internal and external entities about the availability of new services. Some rural services integration programs have hired marketing coordinators to develop a communication strategy for the program. Programs have noted that branding should be consistent and build upon other messages disseminated about the program.

Services integration programs may conduct outreach and education to providers and stakeholders in the community about services. Examples of outreach and engagement activities conducted by rural services integration programs include community educational events to increase awareness of services and community recreational offerings for children and youth related to the program. Programs have also used print media, billboards, and public service announcements.
