  • Program Overview: The Affiliated Service Providers of Indiana Network (ASPIN) provides a three-day training and certification process for community health workers in Indiana who are then eligible for employment in various mental health agencies. In addition to the CHW training, people who are recovering from a substance use disorder are eligible for an additional two days of training to become a Certified Recovery Specialist. Certified Recovery Specialists are peers who provide support services in a variety of settings to people with substance use disorders. Trainings are delivered by ASPIN and funded by the Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addiction.
