Wisconsin School Health Award
The Wisconsin School Health Award was created as a way to recognize and celebrate schools that have policies, programs, and the infrastructure to help students develop lifelong healthy behaviors and achieve their full academic potential. The goal of this award is to motivate and empower Wisconsin schools as they create and maintain healthy school environments.
For the 2019 cycle, the program has partnered with Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK). Benefits of the AFHK partnership include:
- A state coordinator to assist schools
- Free school programs
- Access to resources
- Resources to build a school health team
- Recognition programs and funding opportunities
- Assessment reports
Wisconsin schools are eligible to apply.
This is a recognition award that may lead to several additional benefits.
