The Lowe's Toolbox for Education Program provides grants for school improvement projects.

Priorities for the 2018-2019 academic year include:

  • Technology upgrades
  • Tools for STEM programs
  • Facility renovations
  • Safety improvements

Examples of past projects include:

  • Vegetable gardens
  • Walking trails, exercise stations, and other physical fitness areas
  • Walking trails
  • Building or renewing playgrounds, including the installation of accessible equipment and pathways to allow for wheelchair access

Individual public K-12 schools or nonprofit parent groups associated with public K-12 schools are eligible to apply. Parent groups that are applying independently must have an EIN and 501c(3) status from the IRS.

Application process

If 1,500 applications are received before the application deadline, then the application process will close and the "Apply Now" button will no longer appear on the website.
