Lowe's Toolbox for Education Program
The fall 2018 grant cycle closed early on September 24 after 1,500 applications were received.
The Lowe's Toolbox for Education Program provides grants for school improvement projects.
Priorities for the 2018 grant cycle include:
- Technology upgrades
- Tools for STEM programs
- Facility renovations
- Safety improvements
Examples of past projects include:
- Vegetable gardens
- Walking trails, exercise stations, and other physical fitness areas
- Walking trails
- Building or renewing playgrounds, including the installation of accessible equipment and pathways to allow for wheelchair access
Individual public K-12 schools or non-profit parent groups associated with public K-12 schools are eligible to apply. Parent groups that are applying independently must have an EIN and 501c(3) status from the IRS.
Award ceiling: $5,000
Award floor: $2,000

If 1,500 applications are received before the application deadline, then the application process will close and the "Apply Now" button will no longer appear on the website.
