Purpose

The Wyoming Healthcare Professional Loan Repayment Program offers loan repayment to physicians, dentists, and allied healthcare professionals in return for practicing in underserved areas in Wyoming.

Applicants must agree to serve in a health professional shortage area for a minimum of three years.

  • Chiropractors
  • Dental Hygienists
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurses
  • Registered Nurses
  • Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Certified Nurse Assistants
  • Optometrists
  • Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
  • Physical Therapists
  • Physician Assistants
  • Psychologists
  • Speech Pathologists
  • Audiologists
  • Laboratory Directors
  • Emergency Medical Technicians
  • Radiologic Technologists
  • Professional Counselors
  • Marriage and Family Therapists
  • Social Workers
  • Chemical Dependency Specialists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Respiratory Care Practitioners

Amount of funding

For physicians and dentists: Up to $30,000 each year for three years for a total up to $90,000.

All other licensed healthcare professionals: Up to $10,000 each year for three years for a total up to $30,000.
