AFA’s Family Respite Care Grant helps alleviate the cost of respite care for families caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia.

Grantees must use the funds to provide scholarships to clients with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia and/or their families with financial needs. Scholarships are for respite services, such as social model adult day programs, in-home aides, companion care, or overnight respite.

AFA provides funding to nonprofit member organizations so they can in turn provide families in need with scholarship funding for care services.
