Purpose

The Delta Health Care Services Grant Program is designed to provide financial assistance to address the continued unmet health needs in the Delta Region through cooperation among healthcare professionals, institutions of higher education, research institutions, and other individuals and entities located in the Delta Region.

Grant funds may be used to finance the development and expansion of:

  • Healthcare services
  • Health education programs
  • Healthcare workforce training programs
  • Public health-related facilities
Eligibility

Eligible applicants include a consortium of:

  • Regional institutions of higher education
  • Academic health and research institutes
  • Economic development entities

One member of the consortium must be designated as the lead entity by the other members of the consortium and have legal authority to contract with the federal government.

Applicants must be located in and serve a state located in the Delta region.
