The Georgia Shape program provides grants for public school programs that address physical activity and nutrition for children in Georgia. Schools can apply for grants to establish a nutrition-based only program or a nutrition and physical activity program.


Eligible applicants must:

  1. Be a Georgia public elementary, middle, or high school
  2. Have collected and reported Fitnessgram data to the Department of Education for the 2017-18 school year
  3. Participate in the National School Lunch Program
Geographic coverage
Amount of funding

$2,000 to implement 1 nutrition or 1 physical activity priority activity during the 2018-19 school year

$4,000 to implement 1 nutrition and 1 physical activity priority activity during the 2018-19 school year
