Purpose

The Newman's Own Award is given to organizations that are working to improve the quality of life for military members and their families, including programs for job training, housing, caregiver support, and mental health.

Previous granted projects have included organizations working in the areas of:

  • Housing for homeless veterans
  • Business mentoring programs
  • Caregiver support programs
  • Mental health awareness hotlines
  • Home modifications for injured veterans
  • Survivor seminars and grief camps
  • Employment services
Eligibility

501(c)3 charities, nonprofits, and private organizations/groups comprised mostly of volunteers supporting the families of active duty, National Guard, or reserve unit(s) and/or veterans are eligible.

Amount of funding

Up to $50,000.
