The Agricultural Safety and Health: Core Course provides basic information and skills to enable healthcare professionals to function in the anticipation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and injuries in the farm community. Participants may apply for a waiver of the registration fee associated with course attendance.

The course will be held virtually June 14-18, 2021.

Nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists, veterinarians, and other interested healthcare professionals are encouraged to apply.

Amount of funding

The registration fee is $250. Participants may apply for a waiver of the registration fee.

Continuing education credit awarded:

  • General - 3.82 CEUs
  • Nurses - 37.25 contact hours
  • Emergency Medical Services - 10 Medical Credits; 8.5 Operations Credits; 1.5 Trauma Credit; and 1 Airway, Respirations and Ventilations Credit
  • Veterinarians - 32 CEUs
