The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee offers funding in several broad categories, including:
- Housing and shelter
- Human services
- Education
- Employment and training
- Community development, improvement, and planning
- Food security, nutrition, agriculture, and nutrition health
- Conservation and environment
Applicants may request funds for general operations or program support. New organizations addressing a pressing community issue may apply for "Jumpstart" operational funding.
Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations legally chartered in Tennessee and government entities are eligible to apply. Organizations must be located in one of the 43 counties served by the Foundation.
Applicants eligible for Jumpstart Program grants are nonprofit organizations that received tax-exempt status between 2021-2023 that have active programming in place offering early but promising results.
Award ceiling:
- Up to $20,000 for general operations and program support grants
- Up to $5,000 for Jumpstart program grants
Applicants must create a profile with GivingMatters.com by August 15, 2023 to be considered for funding.
