The Joseph D. Greene Community Service Award recognizes individuals, nonprofit health organizations, and community collaboratives in Georgia that work to improve the quality of health and healthcare of those they serve.

Five individuals and one community collaborative will receive the award, which will be presented at the Pathways to Health and Equitable Communities Conference on March 28, 2018.


Individuals who volunteer or were previously a volunteer for a health-related nonprofit organization are eligible.

Nominated community collaboratives must be comprised of three or more health-related Georgia nonprofit organizations.

Specific eligibility criteria is listed on the program website when nominations are being accepted.

Amount of funding

Healthcare Georgia Foundation will make a $1,000 donation in the name of the recipient to a Georgia-based nonprofit health organization of their choice. Recipients will be honored during a ceremony on March 28, 2018. Recipients will receive complimentary overnight accommodations during the evening of the ceremony.
