Purpose

The Delta Community Capital Initiative (DCCI) awards grants to community development lending and investing institutions that work to benefit communities in the Lower Mississippi Delta Region.

These grants will be geared toward helping local rural nonprofit lenders and investors build the capacities needed to secure other funding. The program will work to provide needed capital so that funding opportunities will be more effective and economic development services will expand to the underserved residents of the Delta region.

Eligibility

Applicants that are eligible to participate in this initiative are community development lenders and investors, which may be local rural non-profit organizations. Applicants do not need to be certified as Community Development Financial Institutions by the CDFI Fund.

Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or a federally-recognized Native American tribal government.
