Substance Abuse Service Expansion
Funds to support the improvement or expansion of substance abuse services in existing Health Centers, with a specific focus on treatment of opioid use disorders in underserved populations. Programs should establish a new, or enhance an existing, integrated primary care/behavioral health model of care in order to coordinate the services necessary for patients to achieve and sustain recovery.
Existing Health Center Program award recipients that currently receive funding under section 330 of the Public Health Service Act. Health Centers that received new start/new award funding in FY 2015 are not eligible to apply.
Total funding available: $100,000,000
Number of awards: Up to 310 awards
Award amount: Up to $325,000 per year for 2 years
HRSA uses a two-tier submission process for applications via grants.gov and HRSA Electronic Handbooks (EHB).
