Medica Foundation Early Childhood Health Grant Program
The Medica Foundation Early Childhood Health Grant program offers funding for programs focused on healthy families to foster optimal growth and development of young children. Programming focuses on children ages birth through age 12 and may involve parents, caregivers, healthcare providers, schools, shelters, early childhood programs, and the overall community. Organizations exhibiting trauma-sensitive practices are preferred.
Funding priorities include:
- Improving access to prenatal, postnatal, preventive, and dental care
- Enhancing parenting skills
- Supporting developmental, social, and emotional health
- Addressing the health needs of children experiencing homelessness
Nonprofit organizations that are 501(c)(3) legal entities or governmental agencies are eligible to receive funding.
To qualify, organizations must operate within Medica's service areas in Minnesota, western Wisconsin, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
Minnesota applicants must be located outside of the 7-county metro area which includes Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington counties.
Up to $25,000.
