The Minnesota Apprenticeship Initiative (MAI) provides grants to Minnesota employers to help them create or expand registered apprenticeship programs in 5 high-growth industries:

  • Healthcare services
  • Information technology
  • Transportation
  • Agriculture
  • Advanced manufacturing

Funding may be used for supplies and materials, instruction costs, and to establish apprenticeship infrastructure.

Employers in Minnesota are eligible to apply.

Amount of funding

Up to $5,000 for each registered apprentice.
