Dorothy Rupe CNA Program Grants provide funding to community colleges in California to support certified nursing assistant and home health aide programs.

Funds may be used for:

  • Instructional support – To fund an instructional assistant position for the purpose of minimizing attrition and improving student outcomes
  • Student support and/or emergency assistance – To provide low-income students with financial assistance for program related costs or for one-time, unforeseen expenditures for students at risk of withdrawal
  • Exam fees and/or testing travel expenses – To ensure that students successfully completing training are able to participate in the state exam and receive certification
Any California community college with an existing certified nursing assistant program is eligible to apply.
