The Addiction Technology Transfer Centers Cooperative Agreements program provides grants to develop and strengthen the specialized behavioral healthcare and primary healthcare workforce that provides substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery support services, including the following activities:

• Accelerating the adoption and implementation of evidence-based and promising treatment and recovery-oriented practices and services
• Heightening the awareness, knowledge, and skills of the workforce that addresses the needs of people with substance use or other co-occurring health disorders
• Fostering regional and national alliances among culturally diverse practitioners, researchers, policy makers, funders, and the recovery community

Regional Centers will be required to work together to:

1. Prepare tools and strategies needed to improve the quality of service delivery
2. Provide intensive technical assistance to improve processes and practices in the delivery of SUD treatment and recovery services

The goal of the program is to increase the capacity of specialized behavioral health care and primary health care providers to provide high-quality, effective services to clients with SUDs and co-occurring disorders.

Eligible applicants include:

• States and territories
• Political subdivisions of States
• Indian tribes and tribal organizations
• Health facilities or programs operated by or in accordance with a contract or award with the Indian Health Service
• Other public or private nonprofit entities

Award ceiling:

• $777,850 per year for ATTC Regional Centers
• $1,177,850 per year for the ATTC National Coordinating Office
