Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia Group Respite and Early Memory Loss Grants

Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia Group Respite and Early Memory Loss Grants provide funding for community-based, social model day programs that provide dementia-specific group activities for participants and respite for family caregivers and care partners.
Funded programs must offer:
- A day program for people who are cognitively impaired by Alzheimer's Disease or other dementia
- A regularly scheduled social model program of at least one, 4-hour session per week
- Counseling, education, and support for caregivers
- Information and referrals to appropriate health and social services
Rural programs are encouraged to apply.
The award amount is $10,000 in year one, renewable for $5,000 in the second year, based on evaluation of the first year's activities and potential for future continuity of the program.
