The Pre-Admission Workshop (PAW) is a 2-day training event that addresses the skills necessary for successful application and admittance to health professional school.

Workshop topics include:

  • Selecting a professional school
  • Admissions tests
  • Personal statements
  • The application process
  • Financial aid and scholarship resources
  • The interview process, including a mock interview
  • Physician and medical student panel presentations

The workshop is July 23-25, 2018 at the We Ko Pa Resort and Conference Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.


Eligible applicants are American Indian/Alaska Native undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing a career in the allied health or medicine fields.

Scholarships are available for college students to cover the cost of airfare, hotel accommodations, conference registration, materials, and most meals.
