Purpose

NIDDK Education Program Grants (R25 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) provide funding to support educational activities that complement and/or enhance the training of a workforce to meet the nation’s biomedical, behavioral and clinical research needs.

  • Individuals from racial and ethnic groups that have been shown by the National Science Foundation to be underrepresented in health-related sciences on a national basis, such as Blacks or African Americans, Hispanics or Latinos, American Indians or Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders
  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Individuals who come from a family with an annual income below established low-income thresholds
