The National RTAP eLearning Portal provides self-guided, online professional development courses for staff of rural transit systems.

Learners may take the courses at their own pace, and they can revisit the material at any time. Managers can track employee learning and obtain reports that document compliance for training requirements.

Courses include, but are not limited to:

  • Busing on the Lookout Human Trafficking Training
  • Substance Abuse Awareness Training for Safety Sensitive Employees
  • Problem Passengers, Challenging Situations
  • Safety Training and Rural Transit
  • Emergency Procedures for Rural Transit Drivers
  • Securing and Lifting Wheelchairs
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Guidance

The intended audience is transit management and staff, such as drivers, maintenance personnel, and dispatchers who can access training on a computer or mobile device.
