Purpose

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine Middle Atlantic Region is offering grants for community based organizations to incorporate MedlinePlus and information about the All of Us Research Program into existing health programming. Organizations would then offer programs in public libraries within the Middle Atlantic Region. This should include at least 6 in-person programs at 2 or more public libraries in their area between October 2019 and April 2020.

Applications from rural organizations are encouraged.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include:

  • Community based organizations having a 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service, other than institutions of higher education and libraries
  • Cooperative Extension Service

Organizations must have existing health programming that is offered to the public and be Network members in the Middle Atlantic Region. Membership is free and comes with a variety of benefits and responsibilities, as listed on the membership website.
