Purpose

This program provides grants for one-time immediate needs or opportunities for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and tribal entities within the Dogwood Health Trust service area.

Project examples include:

  • Replacing a piece of equipment
  • Repairs to a building or vehicle
  • Purchasing computers or software
  • Hiring consultants to support strategic planning, fundraising plans, or a special IT project
Eligibility

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and tribal entities within the Dogwood Health Trust service area.

According to the organization Bylaws, the service area covers counties in Western North Carolina, including Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, and Yancey.

Grants will range from $500 to $25,000.
