HRSA COVID-19 Claims Reimbursement for Uninsured Patients

HRSA provides an electronic reimbursement portal for healthcare providers who have conducted COVID-19 testing or provided treatment for uninsured individuals on or after February 4, 2020.
Reimbursement will be made for qualifying testing and treatment services, which include:
- Specimen collection, diagnostic, and antibody testing
- Testing-related visits in the office, urgent care, emergency room, or telehealth
- Treatment including office visits, telehealth, emergency room, inpatient, outpatient/observation, skilled nursing facility, long-term acute care, acute inpatient rehab, home health, emergency ground ambulance transportation, non-emergent patient transfers via ground ambulance, and FDA approved drugs as they become available for COVID-19 treatment and administered as part of an inpatient stay
- When an FDA-approved vaccine becomes available, it will also be covered
Healthcare providers who have conducted COVID-19 testing or provided treatment for uninsured individuals with COVID-19 on or after February 4, 2020 can request claims reimbursement.
Claims will generally be reimbursed at Medicare rates, subject to available funding.
