Expanding Community WIFI in Appalachian Ohio
The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio is working with partners to provide funding to expand WIFI access points in communities across Appalachian Ohio.
One way this may be done is through community anchor institutions such as libraries, schools, community centers, and local governments that install outdoor grade access points to provide internet access to community members.
$35,000 in total funding is available. Grants will support the purchase of community WIFI access point hardware and related installation expenses.
The priority deadline is July 17, 2020. Proposal submissions will then be reviewed on a rolling basis until all funding has been awarded. To the extent possible, funding and installation should be completed by August 31, 2020 to meet community WIFI needs during the 2020-2021 school year.
