Purpose

The Upper Midwest Agricultural Safety and Health Center (UMASH) is requesting pre-proposal applications for small partnership projects for the Emerging Issues Program. Projects should develop strategies to address key issues developed at the UMASH Community Forums: "Aging on the Farm".

Specific interests include:

  • Address the key issues identified during the forums
  • Form new partnerships from multiple sectors
  • Focus on specific solutions and vulnerable populations
  • Show promise of leading to a larger sustainable effort
Eligibility

Eligible applicants are partnership projects in the upper midwest region. Special consideration will be given to proposals that include regional partnerships.

Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin
Amount of funding

$5,000 - $10,000

Application process

Links to application instructions and information on the community forums are available on the program website.

Email a one-page summary to umash@umn.edu addressing the following points:

  • Specific issue or opportunity to be addressed
  • How it relates to the agricultural workforce
  • Organizations and individuals involved
  • Expected outcome
  • Potential for future funding to extend this work and potential funding sources
  • Approximate cost

Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.
