The Tennessee Department of Health provides grants for clinics and community health centers to provide oral healthcare for uninsured adult Tennesseans 19-64 years of age.

Awardees must provide:

  • Emergency dental extraction
  • Preventive hygienic dental services
  • Dental filling
  • Dental procedures listed on the Dental Code Formulary
  • Restorative services

Eligible applicants include:

  • Community and faith-based organizations
  • Rural Health Clinics
  • Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
  • FQHC Look-Alikes

Amount of funding

The number and amount of grants awarded will depend on the availability of funding and number of applications received.

The project period is 8 months.
