Purpose

The California Tribal Fund: COVID-19 Recovery and Resiliency Grants provide general operating support for tribes and tribal organizations that are working towards long-term tribal community resiliency and recovery efforts from the COVID-19 emergency. The focus is on tribes and nonprofit tribal organizations with programs that protect Indigenous food systems, water, languages, traditional ecological knowledge, and land.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to:

  • California-based federal and state recognized tribal governments
  • Native-controlled 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
  • Native-controlled community organizations with fiscal sponsorship
  • Native 7871 organizations
  • Native-controlled community organizations with fiscal sponsorship
