Purpose

The Accelerator 3.0 Program is a 12-month training, coaching, and networking program for coalitions in California to develop and expand strategies to address overdose rates from fentanyl, methamphetamines, and other drugs. Coalitions from rural areas and other overdose "hot spots" are encouraged to apply.

Strategies may include:

  • Implementation of data visualization tools
  • Expanded use of telemedicine for addiction treatment
  • Integration of trauma-informed care
  • Other strategies related to behavioral health, harm reduction, and youth engagement

Participating coalitions will receive:

  • Experience working as a team and learning from other coalitions across the state
  • Coaching from public health experts
  • Training from subject matter experts in harm reduction, data surveillance, strategic communications, and other topics
  • Monthly workshops, interactive tools, and biannual convenings
  • An opportunity to recruit a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA assignee
Eligibility

Eligible applicants are local coalition teams of 4-6 individuals, that include representation from more than one sector (such as government, healthcare, business, harm reduction, and behavioral health, among others).
