Wisconsin EMS Flex Grant
The EMS Flex Grant program will provide one-time funding to emergency medical services in Wisconsin to help stabilize EMS providers during the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure the continuation of effective emergency medical response across the state. Funds may be requested for operating expenses and must be used to supplement the existing organizational budget.
Eligible uses of funds:
- Supplies – examples include PPE, Respiratory isolation hoods (PAPRs), disposables, laptops, portable radios, cell phones, b/p cuffs, stethoscopes, and other items to replace those used during the pandemic
- Equipment – examples include cardiac monitors, IV pumps, transport ventilators, no-touch thermometers, capnography monitors, portable ultrasounds, disinfectant fogger machines, ambulance child restraints, CPR assist devices
- Emergency response vehicles – examples include ambulances, ATVs, snowmobiles, or winter EMS sleds
- Training – required to use purchased equipment or to advance scope of practice
- Staffing – to enhance recruitment and retention efforts
EMS Services licensed in the state of Wisconsin are eligible.
Maximum awards by category:
- Up to $10,000 may be requested for supplies
- Up to $30,000 may be requested for equipment
- Up to $200,000 may be requested for ambulances
- Up to $50,000 may be requested for other vehicles
- Up to $15,000 may be requested for training
- Up to $50,000 may be requested for staffing
