The Missouri Breaks Canli Coalition of CRST will provide mini-grants to coordinate tobacco events and activities for American Indian populations in South Dakota.
Any ideas found on the Canli Coalition's Tribal Tobacco Advocacy Toolkit are eligible for funding.
Program goals include:
- Prevent commercial tobacco use among youth and young adults
- Promote quitting of commercial tobacco products
- Eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke or vape
- Revitalize the use of traditional tobacco
Eligible applicants include:
- Federally recognized tribes located in South Dakota
- Businesses, schools, and organizations serving American Indian populations in South Dakota
- Individuals intending to serve American Indian populations in South Dakota with a fiscal sponsor
Award ceiling: $5,000
Estimated number of awards: 3
