The Federal Communications Commission will provide grants to support eligible governmental and non-governmental partners in conducting a wide range of innovative outreach activities to raise awareness of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) and increase enrollment among eligible households.
Program objectives include:
- Expand and support diverse and impactful outreach efforts nationwide
- Strengthen outreach partners nationwide by empowering them to mobilize people and organizations to help raise awareness about the ACP
- Increase ACP enrollment as a result of ACP Outreach Grant Program funded activities
Priority populations for the ACP include:
- Minorities
- People with disabilities
- Persons who live in rural or tribal areas
- Individuals and families who are or have been historically underserved, marginalized, or adversely affected by persistent poverty or inequality
Eligible applicants include governmental and non-governmental entities in American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Delaware, Guam, Idaho, Iowa, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, and Wyoming, such as:
- State or territory governments and subdivisions of those governments
- Local governments and subdivisions of those governments
- Public housing agencies
- Social service providers
- Education organizations
- Workforce development training organizations
- Nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) status
- Community-based organizations
- Community anchor institutions
- Public service organizations
- Consortia of the entities listed above
Award ceiling: $400,000
Award floor: $50,000
Project period: 1 year with the
opportunity to extend on a case by case basis
