The NB3 Foundation is recruiting native youth aged 13-24 in New Mexico to help the NB3 Foundation better understand the issues impacting native youth health in the state. In return, NB3 Foundation will provide leadership development, mentorship, and funding to support community impact initiatives developed by Youth Council members.
Over 12 months, Youth Council members will build skills in communications, leadership, community engagement, data collection, and evaluation. They will also learn how to apply for funding and build effective teams through team-building activities, as well as achieve a community service project goal.
Meetings will be held virtually and in person. Participants will have the opportunity to attend local and national conferences, where they can further their knowledge, network with professionals, and gain exposure to broader perspectives that will enhance their community service project goals.
Eligible applicants are youth ages 13-24 years from state or federally recognized tribes in New Mexico.
There is no cost for participation. Each cohort will consist of 25 members. More spots may be opened up depending on the number of applications received.
