The Low-Income Home Rehabilitation Grant Program (HRGP) provides funding to low-income households located in rural "non-entitlement" areas to address health, safety, and durability issues in existing housing. The program provides home repair and improvement services to individuals who own and reside permanently in single-family residential structures.
Priority is given to projects for older adults, people with disabilities, families with children under 5, federally-recognized tribes, and veterans.
Eligible applicants include are licensed to do business in Washington, have 2 years experience in home renovation related programs, and have 2 years experience in providing services through low-income programs related to home repair. Eligible agencies include:
- Approved Washington Department of Commerce grantees
- Tribal nations
- Public service companies
- Municipalities
- Public utility districts
- Mutuals or cooperatives
- Other entities with responsibility for rehabilitating residences and approved by the Washington Department of Commerce
Up to $50,000
