Through its grants, the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation seeks to seed efforts that improve the quality of life for all Arkansans and promote positive, systemic change. The Foundation uses its resources to build and sustain strong communities by supporting and strengthening the organizations that serve them.

The funder's priority giving areas are:

  • Economic development
  • Education
  • Economic, racial, and social justice

Past funded projects include:

  • Disaster recovery and aid
  • Hunger relief for food insecure families, children, and seniors
  • Policy related to poverty
  • Job training and adult education programs that encourage diversity
  • Projects designed to reduce poverty in rural areas

Applications will be accepted from:

  • 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations
  • Government agencies
  • Schools
  • Colleges
  • Universities

Grants vary in amount.

Application process

Applications can be submitted at any time, and funding decisions are made quarterly. Organizations should apply at least 6 months prior to the start date of the proposed grant project.

Organizations seeking funding must complete an online letter of intent. Organizations who receive a favorable initial review may be invited to submit a full application. A link to the online full application will be provided if your organization is invited to move forward.
