Funding to implement innovative and culturally responsive initiatives to address racial, ethnic, and/or geographic health disparities related to maternal health in Ohio.

Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program Inactive
Grants to develop sustainable, multidisciplinary targeted violence and terrorism prevention capabilities in local communities, to pilot innovative prevention approaches, and to identify prevention best practices that can be replicated in communities across the country. Projects should bring together mental health providers, educators, faith leaders, public health officials, social services, nonprofits, and other stakeholders. Rural communities and other underserved populations are considered a program priority.

Expanding Access to Sexual Assault Forensic Examinations Inactive
Funding to establish and/or expand medical forensic exams and sexual assault victim services in a hospital or non-hospital setting to sexual assault victims. A focus of the program is the use of innovative ways of bringing experienced medical forensic examiners to rural, tribal, and underserved communities.

Indian Health Service Zero Suicide Initiative Coordinating Center Inactive
Cooperative agreement to operate a Zero Suicide Initiative Coordinating Center to provide technical assistance to tribal grantees working to implement Zero Suicide projects in Indian Country.

Environmental Justice Government-to-Government Program (EJG2G) Inactive
Competition to support projects that transform overburdened and underserved communities into healthy, thriving communities capable of addressing the environmental and public health challenges they have historically faced. Projects addressing climate change, disaster resiliency, and/or emergency preparedness and projects in rural/tribal areas will be given priority.

Supporting the Management of Substance Use Disorders in Primary Care and other Ambulatory Settings (R18) Inactive
Funding to develop and test strategies to improve the capacity of primary care and ambulatory care settings to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care for people who misuse opioids and other substances. Priority populations include inner city, rural, low income, minority, women, children, and elderly, among others.

Utilizing Social Media to Increase COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence Across Indian Country Inactive
Funding for tribal governments, tribal health departments, and tribal healthcare facilities/health systems to address COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. Awardees will develop and disseminate vaccine hesitancy materials.

Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health Inactive
Grants for projects designed to improve health, prevent chronic diseases, and reduce health disparities among racial and ethnic populations with the highest risk, or burden, of chronic disease, specifically for African Americans/Blacks, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islanders, American Indians, and Alaska Natives.

Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving Cooperative Agreement Program Inactive
Funding to support community-based organizations to use the EPA Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving Model to develop and implement community-driven solutions that address environmental and/or public health issues for underserved communities. Special consideration will be given to projects located in rural areas.
