Summary
Notice of a proposed rule from the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health to revise Title X regulations to ensure compliance with the statutory requirement that none of the Title X funds may be used in programs where abortion is a method of family planning and other related statutory requirements. Also clarifies grantee responsibilities to provide a broad range of family planning methods, to require documented compliance with laws requiring the reporting of abuse and human trafficking, and to provide free or low cost access to family planning services for women without employer-sponsored insurance coverage for certain contraceptive services due to their employers' religious beliefs or moral convictions, among other things. Comments on the proposed rule are due 60 days from official publication of this notice in the Federal Register which is scheduled for July 31, 2018.
