New UDS Mapper Tool: Mapping Areas of Priority for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAP for MAT)

The UDS Mapper is announcing a new tool aimed at health centers for Mapping Areas of Priority for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAP for MAT). This tool is designed to assist in identifying areas of high need and existing services. Data accessible in the new tool include:

  • HRSA-funded awardees and health facilities related to the opioid epidemic, such as
    • Substance Abuse Facilities
    • DEA Waivered Providers
    • Health Center Awardees with MAT Providers
    • AIMS (Access Increases in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services) Awardees
    • Rural Health Opioid Program Awardees
    • Substance Abuse Telehealth Awardees
  • Population indicators focused on opioid-related analyses, such as
    • Drug Poisoning Mortality
    • Retail Opioid Dispensing Rate
    • Part D Opioid Prescribing Rate
    • DEA Waivered Provider Rate
    • Number of DEA Waivered Providers
