Poll: Four in Ten Rural Americans Report Problems Paying for Medical Bills, Housing, or Food; Majority Optimistic About Having an Impact on Improving Their Communities

A new Life in Rural America poll shows that a majority of rural Americans are satisfied with their quality of life and optimistic about improving their communities. Healthcare access, finances, and high-speed internet access were among the top challenges cited, with about a quarter of respondents having challenges accessing healthcare and 8% facing a local hospital closure.
