Mortality rates for non-Hispanic whites are increasing, particularly for those living in rural areas, women, and people ages 25-44, according to a new research study. While mortality rates for screenable cancers and HIV/AIDS have decreased, mortality for drug overdoses, mental and nervous-system disorders, and respiratory disease increased.
