Mayo Closes Two More Facilities, Blames Rural Health Care Crisis

Mayo Clinic announces it will be closing two rural healthcare facilities in Minnesota in 2020. The regional vice president for the health system attributes the closures to the demographic and financial pressures in rural America, explains how difficult it is to recruit and retain physicians and that facilities are underutilized because of the low populations.
