U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced details of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP), which will provide $16 billion in direct payments to America's farmers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic; applications can be submitted beginning May 26. Additionally, USDA's Farmers to Families Food Box program is partnering with distributors to purchase $3 billion in produce, dairy, and meat and deliver to those in need.
