Rural Telehealth and Healthcare System Readiness Commenting Through May 7

Apr 9, 2021

The Rural Telehealth and Healthcare System Readiness Environmental Scan Draft Report (PDF) from the National Quality Forum is now available for public commenting through Friday, May 7, 2021.

Telehealth has the potential to improve timely access to care for rural communities, including during public health emergencies and everyday emergencies. This environmental scan provides an overview of literature, policies and practices, and quality measures related to telehealth, healthcare system readiness, and rural health outcomes in disasters. The scan will inform the future creation of a measurement framework linking quality of care provided by telehealth, healthcare system readiness, and rural health outcomes in a disaster by the Rural Telehealth and Healthcare System Readiness Committee. NQF members and the public are invited to submit comments on the draft report via the project page by Friday, May 7, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. Eastern.

If you have any questions, please contact the project team at ruraltelehealth@qualityforum.org.
