Summary
Notice of final rule with comment period from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid finalizing two proposals from the February 18, 2020, proposed rule. The proposals being finalized include maximum out-of-pocket limits for Medicare Parts A and B services and cost-sharing limits for Medicare Parts A and B services. CMS is also seeking comments on new or different ways to update and change cost-sharing limits in future years for service categories subject to the regulations, including mental health services. These regulations are effective June 13, 2022, and will apply to coverage beginning January 1, 2023. Comments are due by July 13, 2022.
