American Institute of Dental Public Health Rural Oral Health ECHO Call for Case Presentations

Jul 26, 2022

The American Institute of Dental Public Health (AIDPH) is accepting submissions for case presentations for the Rural Oral Health ECHO Hub, an all-teach-all-learn telementoring model focused on real-life situations, expert guidance, feedback, and problem-solving, designed to build the capacity of health professionals. Monthly sessions focus on emerging topics in rural health in collaboration with, and supported by subject matter expertise from partners at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, Oral Health Progress and Equity Network, and the National Rural Health Association. Each virtual session is one hour (with 1.0 CEUs provided by AIDPH) and includes three key elements:

  • Expert didactic presentation
  • Participant Q&A
  • Case Presentation for Think Tank

Each monthly session features a case presentation on a rural oral health problem or challenge that a provider or site is currently facing. Case presentations can be about a clinical case, program, outreach effort, funding need, or issues related to the social determinants of health in rural areas. After applicants complete a case presentation form describing their challenge, AIDPH will develop slides to facilitate the conversation during the session, during which participants will offer advice and resources. The benefits of case presentations include:

  • Expert feedback from community thought leaders
  • Written report with customized strategic recommendations
  • Brainstormed solutions to catalyze funding requests

Case presentation must be submitted online. Contact programs@aidph.org with questions.
