Discusses the use of interstate licensure compacts as a
method for states to address issues related to access to care
and workforce shortages through the use of telemedicine,
specifically identifying benefits for patients in
underserved or rural areas. Describes two examples of
compacts, the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact and
Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).
